Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Last updated October 3, 2026
The short version
- We collect what we need to take an order and deliver it. Not more.
- We never see your card number. It goes straight from your browser to our payment processor.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
- You can download everything we hold, or ask us to delete it, from your account.
What we collect
When you order: your name, email address, shipping address, and a phone number if you give us one. We keep a record of what you bought and what you paid.
When you sign in: your email address. We do not store a password, because we do not use passwords — we email you a link or a code instead.
When you browse: which phone model you picked, so we can show you cases that fit. That is kept in a cookie on your device and in your account if you have one.
For fraud prevention: a one-way scrambled version of your IP address. We cannot turn it back into an address; it only lets us spot the same source placing many suspicious orders.
Payment information
Card details are entered into a form hosted by our payment processor and are sent directly to them. They never reach our servers and we never store them. We keep only the processor's reference, the card brand, and the last four digits, so that you and we can identify which card an order used.
Why we are allowed to hold it
We use your information to take payment, deliver your order, handle returns, meet our tax and accounting obligations, and prevent fraud. We only send marketing email if you asked for it, and every one has an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
Who else sees it
We share the minimum with the companies that help us run the shop:
- our payment processor, to take payment and handle refunds and disputes;
- our warehouse and printing partners, who get your shipping address and your items;
- carriers, who get your address to deliver the parcel;
- our email provider, to send order updates.
None of them may use your information for their own purposes. We do not sell your data and we do not hand it to advertisers.
How long we keep it
Order and tax records are kept for at least six years, which is the longer of what UK and US tax rules require. Everything else we delete when it is no longer needed, or sooner if you ask.
If you ask us to delete your account we remove your name, email, phone number and saved addresses, and delete your sign-in. We keep the order records themselves, stripped of anything identifying you — we are not allowed to delete financial records.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Barko Samer, trading as Covelle.
Barko Samer, 180 Greater London House, Hampstead Road, London NW1 7FB, United Kingdom
Your rights
Depending on where you live in the US, you have the right to know what we hold, get a copy, correct it, delete it, and not be treated differently for asking. We will never charge you for exercising any of these, or give you a worse price for it.
The quickest route is your account, where you can download your data or delete your account yourself, immediately. Or email us at support@covelle.online and we will answer within 45 days.
See Your Privacy Choices for opting out of sale or sharing — though we do neither.
Where your data is handled
Covelle is run from the United Kingdom, and our payment, hosting and delivery providers operate in both the UK and the United States. That means your data may be handled outside the country you live in. Where it leaves the UK we rely on the UK government’s adequacy decisions or on the International Data Transfer Agreement, and we only use providers that commit to equivalent protection.
Cookies
We use cookies to remember which phone you picked, to keep your cart, and to keep you signed in. These are necessary for the shop to work. We do not use advertising cookies, and we honour the Global Privacy Control signal if your browser sends one.
Children
This shop is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
Changes, and how to reach us
If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and its date. For anything privacy-related, email support@covelle.online.
